Of course, I knew I'd like the chocolate part but wasn't sure about the spice factor of the cinnamon. Turns out, as many people already knew, the two go great together.

Introducing Mexican Chocolate!
I tried a new flavor and found that I like it quite a bit. It's Mexican Chocolate, which is a combination of cinnamon and chocolate. The cupcake is chocolate and cinnamon, and the frosting is cinnamon.
Of course, I knew I'd like the chocolate part but wasn't sure about the spice factor of the cinnamon. Turns out, as many people already knew, the two go great together.

Yummo! This reminds me of my favorite way to make hot chocolate: dark chocolate with hints of cinnamon, vanilla, and cayenne. I bet the cinnamon frosting just puts them over the top! So, if you ever need anyone to give a taste opinion on experimental cupcakes, you know I'm your girl, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystalin! I'll remember that. Of course, I owe you anyway for all the powdered sugar you've loaned me! The cinnamon frosting is one of my favorites!
